WEIGHT LOSS CLINIC:
Dieting, exercise and behavior modification are the traditional methods for losing weight, but they are often inadequate. The American College of Cardiology no longer recommends that patients try lifestyle modifications alone before adding pharmacological treatment for weight loss.
Achieving your ideal weight is one of the best ways to increase your energy, live longer and happier, and stay mobile. Losing weight can remarkably decrease your blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure - and thereby help prevent heart attacks, strokes, dementia, and peripheral artery disease.
Our weight loss program provides several different ways of losing weight. Patients can choose from several different types of medication. We also give specific information on exercise that can achieve Stage Two for fat breakdown. Every 6 weeks, there will be a 25 minute medical doctor visit with weighing, blood work if necessary, weight loss medication adjustments and other medication adjustments which may be necessary as you lose weight. We use more sophisticated thyroid tests to judge your thyroid function and adjust your thyroid status.
Unlike other weight loss clinics, all your visits will most likely be covered by your insurance. Your medication costs might also be covered by your insurance, depending on your medical diagnosis, your type of insurance or your insurance policy.
If have no insurance coverage, your initial 90 minute visit will be $150 and your every 6 week revisit will be $90.
If you choose to be on GLP-1 shots, we will closely monitor you for pancreatitis, liver, eye and thyroid problems which may rarely occur.
If you choose, the strict carnivore diet or our 500 calorie protein diet, your blood pressure, kidney function, potassium and magnesium levels will be monitored closely.
If you choose the prescription weight loss meds that may increase your heart rate or blood pressure, ekg monitoring with be done most visits and doctor-taken blood pressure and stethoscope examination of heart and lungs will be done with every visit.
The most effective drugs for weight loss are the GIP-1/GLP-1 Receptor Agonists: Mounjaro and Zepbound. We also may use the GLP-1 alone agonist semaglutide (Wegovy or Ozempic). We also may use sympathomimetic drugs such as Adipex and Tenuate Dospan. Other drugs we may try are Qsymia (which contains phentermine and topiramate) and Contrave (which contains naltrexone and bupropion).
